“Basarabia is Romania” is a message that has been stamped in places all around the country, including on landmarks and historical buildings, for the past 10 years, by a bunch of unionists. However, doing so is illegal, and the penalties faced are even harsher in Moldova. This app lets you leave your mark in memorable places, with no cans, no fumes and no one chasing after you.
Historically a Romanian province, Basarabia was reunited with Romania for the last time in 1918, only to be lost again in 1940. Many residents of both Moldova and Romania support the reunification. This app stands as part of a larger effort to make their numbers more visible and put the union back on the public agenda.
